Plain-English summary: ZZL Funded runs simulated trading competitions. Some are free to enter, some are paid. Traders compete on a simulated account and are ranked by account equity at the end. Prizes are simulated funded / challenge accounts or account credit — not cash. These rules form part of, and are governed by, the ZZL Terms & Conditions; each specific competition may add its own dates, sizes, and prize table, which apply alongside this page.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). ZZL is a non-US service: competitions are not open to U.S. persons or residents, residents of the United Arab Emirates, or persons in sanctioned (OFAC-listed) or other restricted jurisdictions. Entrants found to be in a restricted jurisdiction, or to have used a VPN, proxy, or false location, are disqualified and any prize is forfeited. Entry is also subject to the identity and sanctions checks in the Terms.
Competitions may be free or paid. Free competitions can be entered at no cost from the competitions page. Paid competitions require a one-time entry fee shown at checkout. The entry window, account size, starting balance, and duration for each competition are published on that competition's page.
One entry per person per competition, regardless of how many trader profiles, emails, or wallets you control. Duplicate or multi-account entries are removed, and the associated results and prizes are voided. Where a competition permits multiple entries, that will be stated explicitly on the competition page and overrides this default for that event only.
Entrants are ranked by account equity at expiry — the value of the competition account (balance plus open-position P&L) at the moment the competition closes. Open positions are marked at the closing price. In the event of a tie, the earlier-achieved equity ranks higher, unless the competition page states another tie-break. The leaderboard shown during the event is indicative; final standings are confirmed by our risk desk after review.
Unless a specific competition states otherwise, prizes are awarded as a simulated funded account, a challenge (evaluation) account, or ZZL account credit toward a challenge — not cash. A prize account is a simulated account governed by our standard Rules; any profits earned on a prize account are then payable under the normal payout rules and splits. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash-redemption value. Taxes, where applicable, are the winner's responsibility.
Because prizes are simulated accounts or credit rather than cash, a paid entry buys no ranking advantage over a free entry — every entrant trades the same simulated starting balance under the same rules, and standings are decided solely by trading performance.
An entry is disqualified if the entrant:
ZZL may void, adjust, re-score, pause, or cancel any competition, entry, or result to correct errors, data-feed faults, or manipulation, or to protect the integrity of the event. Our determinations are final but will be explained on request. We may withhold a prize pending the identity, sanctions, and source-of-funds checks in the Terms.
We may update these rules; material changes are posted here with a new "last updated" date, and each competition's own page controls the specifics of that event. Questions: support@zzlfunded.com or the ZZL Discord.
