General
Who can join ZZL Funded?
Traders from most countries are welcome. ZZL is a non-US service and is not available to the United States or its territories, the United Arab Emirates, or sanctioned (OFAC-listed) jurisdictions. You must be at least 18 years old or the legal trading age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
Is ZZL available to US persons or UAE residents?
No. ZZL does not offer its accounts, evaluations, rewards, points, or the ZZL token to US persons or residents, UAE residents, or persons in sanctioned jurisdictions. By registering you confirm you are not located in, or a resident of, a restricted jurisdiction.
What account sizes are available?
Account sizes range from $5K to $200K — the maximum funding per trader is $200,000. The full size matrix is on the configurator and the rules page.
How much does it cost to start?
Challenge fees start at $20 with the universal ZZL50 code applied (50% off, works for everyone). Full pricing depends on size and type. There are no monthly fees, no activation fees, and no hidden costs — one payment per challenge, and the full fee is refunded with your first payout once you're funded.
How is my payment charged on my statement?

Crypto payments appear in your wallet as transactions to our settlement addresses with no name attached. Card payments are coming soon and will show our processor's descriptor (typically ZZL Funded) once available.

Am I treated as an employee or contractor?

You are an independent contractor. ZZL doesn't withhold taxes — any gains paid to you are your responsibility to declare and report under your local tax regime. We recommend speaking with a local tax advisor for guidance.

How many accounts can I run at once?

You can hold up to $1M in active evaluation accounts and up to $1M in active funded accounts at any time. Multiple accounts of the same size and type aren't allowed simultaneously, but you can mix sizes and types freely.

If you grow a funded account beyond your initial size, that's all yours — there's no scaling cap on a single account's balance.

Are there any countries you can't accept?

We accept traders globally, subject to applicable sanctions and KYC laws. Countries on the OFAC sanctions list and a small number of high-risk jurisdictions can't be served. If you're not sure whether your country qualifies, email support before purchase.

Trading Rules
What's the difference between a hard breach and soft breach?
A hard breach — violating max drawdown, max daily loss, or the inactivity rule — ends your account immediately. A soft breach (e.g. holding into the weekend without Pro Pack) just closes the offending positions; you can keep trading after.
Is there a minimum number of trading days?
No minimum. Pass when your account hits its target — one trade, one hour, or one month. Whatever your strategy.
How does the daily loss limit work exactly?

Your daily loss limit is calculated against the greater of the previous day's closing balance or closing equity, resetting at the start of each new trading day. This protects unrealized gains: if you end the day with profitable open positions, those count toward the next day's reference number.

Both realized and unrealized losses count — if your floating P&L drops your equity below the threshold even on open trades, that's a breach.

Does the maximum drawdown trail my account?

No. Our maximum drawdown is static — once set at challenge purchase, it stays at the same dollar amount regardless of how high your equity grows. Your wins don't get held against you.

For example, on a $100K · 1-Step (6% max DD), the floor is $94,000. Whether your account reaches $110K or $200K, the floor never moves up — you only fail this rule if your equity touches $94,000.

What is the consistency rule, and when does it apply?

The consistency rule keeps payouts tied to steady trading rather than one outsized day. It is checked only at payout, on a funded account — never during the challenge. Your single best trading day must be no more than 25% of your total profit on Instant and Premium Instant accounts, or 30% on 1/2/3-step accounts.

If your best day is above that, nothing is lost — just keep trading to spread your profit across more days, then request the payout again. The full rule is on the Rules page.

Are there other payout rules on funded accounts?

Yes — all standard, all on the Rules page, and they apply to every funded account including Instant and Premium Instant: a 14-day wait before your first payout, a minimum of 3 trading days on the funded account, a hold-time rule (profit from trades held under 3 minutes does not count toward withdrawals; 3-10 minutes counts at 1%; over 10 minutes counts in full; losses always count in full), and a withdrawal cap on your first three payouts (5%, then 10%, then 20% of account size; unlimited after).

Can I trade during news events?

By default, opening a position within 3 minutes before or after a major scheduled news release isn't allowed. Major news includes FOMC decisions, NFP, CPI, central bank rate decisions, and similar high-impact releases. Trades opened in that window may be closed and the P&L removed.

The Pro Pack add-on removes this restriction completely. With Pro Pack, you can trade any news event, any time.

Can I hold trades over the weekend?

Standard accounts close all open trades automatically at 3:45 PM EST on Friday. This is a soft action — your account isn't breached, you just can't carry positions into the weekend.

Crypto instruments run 24/7 and aren't affected. With the Pro Pack add-on, weekend holding is allowed across all instruments.

Are EAs, algos, and copy trading allowed?

Manual trading and personal automated strategies are fine on standard accounts. EAs and algorithmic trading require the Pro Pack add-on.

Not allowed in any case: third-party signal services, group copy trading from random accounts, off-the-shelf "challenge passers," and strategies that exploit pricing latency or arbitrage between firms.

Copying trades between accounts you personally own is fine.

What's the inactivity rule?

If your account goes 30 consecutive days without a single trade — open or close — it's considered inactive and closed. This applies to both evaluation and funded accounts.

Place any one trade in the 30-day window to reset the timer. There's no requirement on the trade size or duration; just don't let the account sleep.

What counts as "prohibited" trading activity?

The following will void your account:

  • Exploiting pricing errors, latency, or arbitrage windows between accounts or firms
  • Using insider/non-public information
  • Front-running trades placed elsewhere
  • Excessive risk that resembles gambling — e.g. all-in single-leg trades to hit the profit target in one shot
  • Off-the-shelf strategies marketed specifically to pass challenges
  • Different strategy in the funded account vs. what passed the challenge

Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Funded Accounts
How long until my funded account is issued?
Once you pass the evaluation and complete KYC + sign the trader agreement, your funded account is created and credentials sent within 24–48 business hours. You'll get an email confirmation when it's live.
Is my funded account real money or simulated?
Funded accounts are notionally funded — backed by ZZL capital but executed in a simulated environment that mirrors real market pricing from our liquidity provider. Your P&L is calculated identically to a live trading account; profits paid to you are real cash.
What are the rules in the funded account?

The funded account uses the same risk rules as the evaluation — same daily loss limit, same maximum drawdown, same inactivity rule. The only difference: there's no profit target. Trade, generate gains, request payouts.

What if I breach my funded account with profits sitting in it?

A hard breach closes the funded account and forfeits any accumulated gains by default. You can opt into Payout Protector at the time of challenge purchase (costs an extra 25% on top of the fee) — this protects your eligible profit-share even if you breach. Your gains still pay out under the agreed split.

Payout Protector doesn't prevent the breach — your account still ends. It just shields the money you've already earned.

How do I request a payout?

Log into your trader dashboard → Withdrawal tab → enter the amount → submit. Your first payout can be requested 14 days after the funded account is issued. After that, you can request payouts on demand — no fixed schedule. Each request processes within 48 business hours.

How is the profit split calculated?

Standard split is 80/20 in your favor. Example: if you generated $10,000 in gains and request the full amount, you receive $8,000 and ZZL retains $2,000. With the Pro Pack add-on, your split rises to 90/10 — the highest on the site — and your payouts are on demand with priority processing.

Does requesting a payout reset my drawdown?

No — our drawdown is static, so it doesn't reset and doesn't trail. After a withdrawal, your max drawdown floor is unchanged. Your account balance drops by the withdrawn amount, but you have the same protection above the original floor.

Are there position size or leverage limits in funded accounts?

Maximum position size is set by your available margin. ZZL reserves the right to adjust margin requirements, leverage limits, or maximum position counts in funded accounts at our discretion in response to market conditions. We'll notify you of any change via email.

Payouts
What payment methods are supported for payouts?
Payouts are sent in USDC on TRC20 (TRON) or ERC20 (Ethereum) — your choice. Save your wallet once under Dashboard → Withdrawal → Payout Setup and every payout uses it. Crypto settles within minutes of approval.
Is there a minimum withdrawal amount?
Yes — $200 minimum per withdrawal request. No upper cap.
Do I get my challenge fee back?
Yes — 100%, automatically. The full fee you paid is added on top of your first payout from a funded account. Pass once, withdraw once, and your challenge was effectively free.
How does the ZZL Scaling Plan work?

Every 3 clean payouts (no breaches between them) our risk desk boosts your funded capital: 3 payouts → +25%, 6 payouts → +50% total, 9 payouts → 2x your account — then the ladder repeats, with a total allocation path up to $1M+. Drawdown limits scale with the new size, your split never drops, and there's never a fee or re-evaluation.

Where can I talk to the team or other traders?

The ZZL Discord is the trading floor: live support from the team, rule questions answered in minutes, a payout-proof channel, and strategy chat with other funded traders. It's open to everyone — you don't need to be a customer to join. Email [email protected] works too.

When does my first payout become available?

14 days after your funded account is issued. After your first payout, subsequent requests are on demand — no waiting period.

How long do payouts take to process?

Once your request is approved (typically within hours), funds are sent within 48 business hours. Crypto usually settles within an hour of approval. Wire transfers may take 1–3 additional banking days depending on your bank.

Can I change my payout method later?

Yes — you can update your preferred payout method any time from the Withdrawal tab in your dashboard, or by emailing support. Changes require KYC re-verification if you're switching to a new account holder name.

Trading Terminal
What platform do I trade on?
ZZL has its own browser-based trading terminal. Log in from your dashboard and trade directly — nothing to download, install, or connect. It runs on desktop and mobile, with live charts, indicators, drawing tools, market and limit orders, and trailing stops built in.
What instruments can I trade?
Depends on the asset class you chose: Forex includes 60+ major/minor pairs, gold, silver. Futures includes major indices, energies, commodities. Crypto includes 30+ digital assets streamed directly from our liquidity provider.
What's the leverage on different instruments?

You choose your account leverage at purchase: 30x, 50x, 100x, or 200x. This sets the cap; individual instruments may have lower max leverage based on volatility.

You can trade every instrument — forex, crypto, indices, metals, stocks — with leverage up to 1:200. You're free to choose any level from 2x up to 200x per trade in the terminal.

What are the trading hours?

Set by the underlying exchange or liquidity provider — we don't override them. Forex runs 24/5, crypto runs 24/7, equity index and futures hours follow CME/CBOT schedules. Right-click any instrument in the ZZL terminal to see exact session hours.

Are commissions or fees charged on trades?

Commission and spread are passed through transparently from our liquidity provider. Crypto trading typically incurs ~0.05% commission per side (e.g. $50 per $100K traded). Forex pairs are zero-commission with raw spreads. Always check the instrument info in the ZZL terminal for current pricing.

Affiliate Program
How much do affiliates earn?
15% commission on every paid referral. No tiers, no thresholds — flat 15% from your first referral onwards, paid in crypto within 24 hours of the order completing. Influencer partners earn a boosted 25% plus a personal coupon code that gives their community 60% off.
How do I get a referral link?
A unique link is auto-generated for you as soon as you pay for your first challenge. Find it on your trader dashboard under Affiliate. No application or approval required.
When is my commission credited?

Commission is logged the moment a referred order pays out and reaches "finished" status. It moves to "pending" in your affiliate dashboard for a brief review period (usually 24 hours), then automatically pays out to your designated crypto address — no manual withdrawal step required.

Are there any restrictions on promotion?

You can promote freely on social media, your YouTube channel, Discord, Telegram, or direct outreach. You cannot: run ads bidding on ZZL trademark terms, claim to be an official ZZL representative, or misrepresent the rules/payouts of the program. We may revoke affiliate status for violations.
